LAX - Los Angeles International Airport
LAX is the nearest major airport and has lots of flight options. It is a 35 minute drive to Malibu from LAX and a 45 minute drive to the wedding venue from LAX.
Note: Beginning May 7th, everyone will needed an updated “REAL ID” driver’s license to fly anywhere in the US. If you do not have one, you will need a passport.
We recommend renting a car from LAX to use throughout the weekend. While Ubers/ Lyfts are available, renting a car will be much more convenient and cost efficient for getting around.
We do recommend staying in Malibu or Agoura Hills to be near the beautiful ocean or mountain views, while also being near the wedding events. To be closest to the Pacific Ocean, Malibu has a few upscale hotels and many Airbnb options on and near the beach. In Malibu you can find many delicious restaurants and local shops. To be even closer to the wedding venue, Agoura Hills (including Thousand Oaks/ Westlake Villlage) is also a great choice that has more hotel options and quicker access to places like Target, Trader Joe’s, a shopping mall, etc. If you don’t mind the distance, Los Angeles also has a ton of options for accommodations.
